Kanye finds a way to talk about the issues of his past fiancée worrying about what he does and where he goes and he then turns it into a electronic hit. The electronic beat sets a positive tone with an ever-increasing bass to get you out of your seat and dancing. “Paranoid” is another song where Kanye is speaking out about his past relationship and the issues they had. While he is explaining his own relationship throughout the song, he is also sending an overall message that opening your love and being honest is the only way to not lose the one you love. Kanye West is explaining through his music why he can no longer be with Phifer and how the relationship became a disaster. Love Lockdown is the musical portrayal of the downward spiral that his relationship with Alexis Phifer endured. “Love Lockdown” is a beautifully composed song with strong drum beats, piano riffs, and synthesized noises throughout. Kanye’s terribly emotional past year was used as fuel for inspiration for 808s & Heartbreak. This album features incredible melodies and emotions that were not recognized from Kanye before. Kanye West was very troubled during this time so he turned to music to help save his heartbreak. West and Phifer had been together for around five years these two losses could not come at a more worse time. Only a few months later, Kanye and his fiancée Alexis Phifer had canceled their engagement and were officially broken up.

Donda West had been Kanye’s closest loved one to him and nothing could hurt him more than to see his mother pass away. Kanye West’s mother, Donda, had passed away while having cosmetic surgery that sent Kanye into dark emotional state. The previous year Kanye West had gone through some terrible circumstances that explain a lot about this amazingly emotional album.
